DIRECTIONS for BULK CUSTOMERS

Falafel:

  • In a large bowl add 2 cups Falafel and 11/4 cups water and stir well
  • Let stand 15 minutes to absorb the water.
  • Form into 1” balls.
  • Heat about ½” of vegetable oil to 375 degree F, then fry balls until brown and crisp. (about 3 minutes).
  • Drain and serve.

For Broiling Directions:

Follow directions 1-3 above.
Flatten Falafel balls into ½” thick patties. Brush both sides with olive oil.
Place on cookie sheet, then broil 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden.
Remove from broiler. Use paper towels to blot any excess oil and serve.

Instant Black Beans-Stove Top:

In a medium-size bowl, add 2 cups boiling water to 1-1/3 cups black beans mix. Stir well, cover 5 minutes, then serve.

Instant Black Beans-Microwave:

In a medium-size bowl, microwave 2 cups water until boiling. Add 1-1/3 cups black beans mix, cover 5 minutes, then serve.

Instant Refried Beans-Stove Top:

In a medium-size bowl, add 1-3/4 cups boiling water to 1-1/2 cups refried beans mix. Stir well; cover and let stand 5 minutes.

Instant Refried Beans-Microwave:

In a medium-size bowl, microwave 1-3/4 cups water until boiling. Add 1 ½ cups refried beans mix. Stir well; cover and let stand 5 minutes. Serve.

Organic Couscous- Stove Top:

To make 2 servings (about 1.5 cups) of couscous, bring ¾ cup of water to a boil. Add ½ cup couscous and stir. Boil again, lower heat and cover. Simmer for 1 minute or until all the water has been absorbed. Stir to fluff. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Organic Couscous- Microwave:

To make 2 servings (about 1.5 cups) of couscous, combine ¾ cup hot water and ½ cup couscous in a 1 or 2-quart microwaveable casserole. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 minute. Stir. Let stand covered about 5 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed and couscous is tender. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Original Hummus:

Place 1 cup mix in bowl. Add 1 –1/2 cups warm water* and 2 Tbsp olive oil.
Stir until well blended (wire wisk works best).
Let stand 5 minutes. Serve.
*For creamier texture, add additional 2 Tbsp water.

Nature’s Burger:

  • In a heat-resistant bowl, mix 1 ½ cups Nature Burger with 1 ½ cups boiling water. Stir well.
  • Let mixture stand 10-15 minutes until it has cooled and becomes stiff.
  • Form into thin patties and pan fry on medium heat, with or without oil or butter, in nonstick pan until browned on both sides.

If desired, melt a slice of cheese on top. Serve on a bun with your favorite condiments and garnishes such as lettuce, tomato, red onion, relish, ketchup or mustard.

Tabouli:

Note: requires 2 fresh tomatoes.

  • In a large bowl, mix 1 cup Tabouli with 1 ¼ cups water
  • Add 2 Tbsp olive oil and 2 finely chopped tomatoes. Mix well.
  • Let stand 1 hour to absorb the water. Refrigerate if desired.
  • Stir and serve.

Any of the following optional ingredients may be added to enhance the salad:

Fresh lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley, sliced green onions, diced cucumber and/or fresh mint.

Vegetarian Chili:

Note: Requires two 15-oz cans of kidney beans and one 14.5-oz can of diced tomatoes.

  • In a large pot, bring 2 ½ cups water to boil. Add 1-1/4 cups Vegetarian Chili mix, and stir well.
  • Add 2 cans kidney beans (drained and rinsed) and 1 can diced tomatoes (undrained).
  • Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Serve.
