Fantastic World Foods Introduces 16 New Instant Cup Soups

Newly renamed Fantastic World Foods (formerly Fantastic Foods), the all-natural California food manufacturer that created the original dried cup soup category in the 1970s, is again setting new standards for its vegetarian, instant soup creations. The 16 new soups being introduced at the Natural Products Expo West are chef-created flavors that arose from the best of three culinary creations developed per flavor. Fantastic World Foods first combined culinary sensibilities with an inspired use of ingredients and regional or ethic themes and then faithfully translated the following recipes into a convenient, great-tasting cup form.

Baja Black Bean A variation of Fantastic Food’s popular thick black bean soup, Baja has a deep, rich, smoky chipotle flavor with hints of lime, oregano, cumin, cilantro and cayenne.

Mamma’s Minestrone An Italian kitchen garden in a cup, thick with pinto beans, carrots and tomatoes, infused with basil and seasoned herbs, together with tri-color rotini and sprinkled with Parmesan.

Vegetarian Chicken Noodle Moms everywhere will approve of this thick and flavorful vegetarian chicken broth loaded with tagliatelle noodles and fresh New England garden veggies, including celery, carrots and onions.

Spicy Thai The flavors of Thailand in a spicy broth thick with Asian noodles, beautifully accented with lemongrass, lime, ginger and peanuts.

Classic French Onion Cheddar cheese need not apply as this signature soup is thick with onions and Emmental cheese in a flavorful beefy broth, artfully completed with crispy French bread croutons.

Three Onion Noodle A fusion of Asian, Italian and California tastes, this ramen noodle soup unites the complementary flavors of shallots, leeks and yellow onions with beefy broth and real Parmesan cheese.

Southwest Tortilla Bean A thick soup of flavorful pinto beans enlivened with jalapeno and cilantro spices and garnished with tortilla strips. 

Tuscan Tomato and Shells A sophisticated Northern Italian variation on our classic with deep tomato flavor balanced with hints of garlic and basil together with shell pasta.

Creamy Potato Leek Comfortable yet artful, this creamy soup of russet potatoes is finished off with cheddar cheese and flavorful leeks.

Sesame Miso A step up from other Miso soups, this recipe has depth – thanks to the toasted flavor of its sesame seeds, lemongrass and ramen noodles, accented by quality mushrooms and carrots.

Green Onion Miso with Tofu Traditional miso complemented by a delicate balance of green onions, tofu and a hearty helping of wheat noodles.

Hot and Sour Ramen noodles with stirred tofu in beautifully crafted natural hot and sour broth.

Split Pea This hearty vegetarian split pea is accented with bacon flavor and a dash of garlic and mesquite, carrots, onions and celery to round out a complete culinary statement.
