Fantastic soups, for real

Not a company to downplay its virtues, Fantastic World Foods is launching a line of instant soups that require only the addition of water and a few minutes in the microwave. The soups are preservative-free and each is clearly labeled to indicate whether it is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. Better still, they taste good. The 16 varieties include Split Pea, Baja Black Bean, Spicy Thai, Classic French Onion, Southwest Tortilla Bean, Tuscan Tomato and Shells, Buckaroo Bean Chili and Great Lakes Cheddar Broccoli. $2.19 at Whole Foods, King Kullen, A&P and Waldbaum's.
