It used to be that if you wanted Asian food, you had to either go to an Asian restaurant or an Asian market for ingredients. However, with the tremendous growth rate of the Asian population in the United States, it's no wonder that Americans have grown to enjoy Asian cuisine so much that supermarkets now carry a wide variety of packaged Asian food products. Hot & Sour Soup is a traditional Chinese soup that by the way is very helpful if you have a cold! However, often times it can contain MSG leaving it undesirable for the healthy minded individual. But Fantastic World Foods has an all-natural (and vegetarian) version that comes in a microwaveable soup cup. It won't taste like the real thing in your favorite Chinese restaurant, but for quick and easy soup, it'll do the trick. And FYI, a recent SupermarketGuru.com Consumer Taste Panel showed that 55% consume Chinese food on a regular basis, and 22% plan to consume more Chinese cuisine in 2006 than they did in 2005.
